USCIS has announced the schedule for the fiscal year 2025 H-1B lottery registration and updates to the registration process.

Dates: The lottery registration period will occur between March 6 and March 22, 2024. The results of the lottery will be released by March 31st.

We encourage clients to initiate H-1B cap processes as soon as possible.

For individuals selected in the lottery, complete petitions can be submitted between April 1 and June 30, 2024.

Selection Process: USCIS will move to a beneficiary-centric selection process for H-1B registrations. USCIS has historically accepted multiple registrations by different employers for the same individual. This gave an individual with multiple employer registrations a higher chance of selection in the lottery. This year and going forward USCIS will make selections in the lottery based on the individual rather than the employer. This means an individual sponsored by multiple employers will not have a greater chance of selection than an individual sponsored by one company.

Fees: The H-1B lottery registration fee remains $10 per registration for this year. The fee will go up to $215 per registration next year.
