Mitzy Monterroso-Bautista

Paralegal

Mitzy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English at Boston College, where she cultivated her passion for human rights and social justice advocacy work. Her interest in the immigration field began while researching for her senior-year community advocacy and research engagement project, “Undocumented Latinx Students’ Experiences and Barriers within Higher Education.” Since then, Mitzy brings a strong commitment to understanding individuals’ immigration journeys and helping them navigate the complex immigration system.

Prior to joining Meltzer Hellrung, Mitzy worked in the sports and entertainment office of a corporate immigration law firm, where she immersed herself in a wide range of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa types including O-1/EB-1 extraordinary ability, P-1 athlete and essential support personnel, H-1B specialty occupation, EB-2 national interest waiver, adjustment of status, and many more. Drawing on her enthusiasm for writing and eagerness to learn, she handles every case with meticulous attention to detail and a deep sense of compassion.
