Beata has represented clients in business-based immigration matters for over eight years. She works with companies on all employment-based visas, but she has particular expertise in H-1B specialty occupation visas and PERM green cards for the IT consulting industry.

Working across diverse industries, including technology consulting, SaaS startups, and post-doctoral research, Beata excels in handling companies and visas with intricate financial structures. Leveraging her background in corporate accounting, she effectively communicates complex financial transactions to USCIS.

Beata is a first-generation American, as her parents immigrated to the United States in their late teens. Immigration has been a very important part of her life, and she works to provide others the same chances her parents were afforded in the U.S.

She has submitted successful petitions for software engineers, entrepreneurs, religious scholars, chemists, and physicists, among others. Some of her notable successes include:

Filed a successful EB-1A I-140 petition for a Bollywood actress;
Filed a successful EB-2 NIW I-140 petition for a software engineer specializing in CRMs and chatbots;
Filed a successful O-1A petition for a finance professional specializing in strategic growth planning in the international port, logistics, and maritime sector; and
Filed a successful federal court claim under the Administrative Procedure Act, where the Judge granted her motion for summary judgment and agreed that a Computer Systems Analyst is a specialty occupation.
Currently serving as Of Counsel at Meltzer Hellrung, Beata plays a pivotal role in preparing H-1B petitions and PERM applications.

Beata earned her bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, her master’s degree in taxation from De Paul University, and her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She practiced corporate accounting for over two decades before practicing immigration law.
