Designation of Lebanon for TPS

On November 27, 2024, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that the Secretary of Homeland Security is granting Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to Lebanese nationals (and individuals having no nationality who last habitually resided in Lebanon) for a period of 18 months. Below is a breakdown of the requirements to qualify for TPS:

Period of registration: November 27, 2024 – May 27, 2026

Continuous residence in the U.S. since: October 16, 2024

Continuous physical presence in the U.S. since: November 27, 2024

 

Qualifying individuals may submit an initial application for Temporary Protected Status for Lebanon immediately. Applications may be submitted any time in the 18-month initial registration period that runs through May 27, 2026.
