Sheila’s practice focuses on employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas, as well as providing regulatory guidance and counseling to clients in all areas of business and family immigration. She has experience advising multinational companies from numerous industries, including: information technology, engineering, finance, commercial food, pharmaceuticals, publishing and education. Sheila works with employers on B, E, H, L, O, P and TN nonimmigrant visa matters; green card cases in all employment (both PERM and EB-1 cases) and family-based categories; and I-9 and worksite compliance.
Sheila has over 10 years of immigration experience. Prior to joining Meltzer Hellrung LLC, she worked for Global Immigration Associates, PC as a Senior Attorney.
Sheila earned her JD magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where she was a member of the Journal of International Law and a Presidential Scholar. In law school, she interned for the Honorable Chief Justice Robert P. Young of the Michigan Supreme Court and received a merit award for excellence in research, writing and advocacy.
Sheila is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and a pro-bono volunteer with Asian Indian Family Services. She is licensed to practice in Michigan
