After its initial March round of random selections of electronic cap candidate registrations USCIS determined that a second round of selections was required to meet the numerical allocation of available H-1B visa slots for fiscal year 2024. USCIS will be conducting the second round before the end of July 2023.

Employers should check their cap registration portals to see if and/or which candidates were selected in the third round of selections. H-1B petitions filed on behalf of these candidates should be filed within the window to the correct service center noted on the USCIS-provided registration selection notice, and that the registration selection notice is filed with the paper H-1B petition filing, as its first page.
