Krystal Bickford - Sr. Associate
Krystal Bickford is a Senior Associate Attorney at Melzer Hellrung, specializing in employment-based immigration matters. Prior to joining Meltzer Hellrung, Krystal was an associate at a boutique immigration law firm where she represented educational institutions, engineering firms, health systems, physician practice groups, and small and mid-size corporations. Krystal’s goal with all her clients is to effectively communicate the various legal options for employers, navigate the necessary legal processes, and efficiently coordinate and communicate between the various stakeholders to effectuate her clients’ interests.
Krystal graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Sacramento, with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Economics. She earned her JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law, with a concentration in Employment and Labor Law. In addition, Krystal served on the Executive Board for Women in Law. During law school, Krystal externed with the Merit Systems Protection Board, drafting opinions on federal labor and employment appeals for the MSPB Administrative Law Judges. Krystal also worked for three years as a law clerk focusing on employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant petitions with an emphasis on the healthcare sector, family-based green cards, and naturalization petitions.
Krystal is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the International Medical Graduate Taskforce (IMGT), an association of immigration attorneys specializing in physician related immigration.
